The premium 3" (5mm) backing plate from ShineMate is a heavier weight plate designed to work with shorter throw DA's.
It's a heavier, better quality plate which is closer to the weight of a regular plate meaning the machine runs smoother. This high quality velcro backed, urethane backing plate holds all 3-4 inch foam spot pads.
This is the perfect size for spot repairs as it allows you to focus your polisher's energy on a small area. Your machine will achieve more work and you won't affect the surrounding paint.
